Majestic Creek Hua Hin is a true 27-hole golf gem, and one of Thailand's ABSOLUTE favourites.

Majestic Creek Hua Hin is located in a beautiful hilly landscape, about 25 minutes from the heart of Hua Hin.

Recent renovations and redesign of the greens have transformed Majestic Creek Hua Hin from a sleeping giant into one of the absolute best golfing experiences in the entire area.

The grass type on loops "A" and "B" - the combination that most people know and enjoy at Majestic Creek Hua Hin - has been changed to Tif Eagle Superdwarf Bermuda from Zoysia grass. The greens have become lightning fast and extremely challenging and it is absolutely recommended to ask your caddy for advice when reading the greens.

The little-known loop "C" - "Waterfall" will also undergo a major renovation in the summer of 2017. Zoysia grass must be changed to Tif Eagle and design changes must ensure that the loop is completely level with the other two loops at Majestic Creek Hua Hin.

There are plans to turn the current pro shop into a members lounge, and the current restaurant into a large pro shop. The hotel is also undergoing a major renovation.

In general, the caddies at Majestic Creek Hua Hin are good and many of them actually play good golf themselves, so there is plenty of opportunity to get good advice on the round.

Majestic Creek Hua Hin, as one of the few Hua Hin golf courses, allows two golfers to use just a buggy so you don't just see your fellow players on the tees and green.

10. Imperial Lakeview Hua Hin

Imperial Lakeview Hua Hin was built in 1993, and is the first and currently only 36 hole course in the Hua Hin area.

The golf course has had problems with its condition in the past, but after Chang Brewery bought the facility a few years ago, things have changed and Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club is truly a class course. The greens are fast, hilly and challenging, while the undulating fairways are in perfect condition.

Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club offers four different loops.

The standard choice for a round of golf at Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club is loop A & B, which for many golfers is rated as the most scenic and cozy golf course in Hua Hin.

Loop A-B has small streams and a large lake that bisects the course. Despite the mature trees which give many blind shots to the green, the undulating fairways many doglegs will test golfers of all levels.

Hole 13 – a relatively short par 5 gives brave long hitters a realistic eagle opportunity. With a good drive in the middle of the fairway, many will be left with a 7 or 8 iron in the second shot. However, it is important to hit the fairway which is protected by a large lake on the left and trees and a stream on the right. The green, which is slightly higher up, is protected by bunkers on three sides and if you hit too short, you risk the ball rolling back into the water.

The course's signature hole is the 14th hole. It is a beautiful but difficult par 3 (especially for the men). The green is protected by water on all sides and you have to carry about 150 m to reach over the water.

However, Loops A & B at Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club also have a number of easy par holes that make the course a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

The desert loop (Loop C) is a completely unique design which is very different from the rest of the course in the Hua Hin area and you have to be careful with all strokes. The links course – the last loop at Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club (Loop D) opened in late 2006 is built on an open area with few trees between the holes and thus lives up to its name.

The clubhouse has a good restaurant, a good pro shop and a swimming pool overlooking the golf course.Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club also has a 3-star golf resort which is very popular with golf groups from Korea and Japan.

However, it is a bit far from the city, which makes it difficult to get to and from Hua Hin's restaurants and nightlife.Imperial Lakeview Hua Hin is about 30 minutes drive from Hua Hin.

Green Fee: ฿1,100 Baht.
